(1983-.) Architect by profession, sculptor and Mexican painter originally from León, Guanajuato (Mexico) dedicated to the arts since 2010.  Martinez is a new resident to Todos Santos and also has another workshop in Leon, Mexico.

"My work is a constant reflection of the natural and urban environment from two different languages that complement each other.

My profession as an architect is constantly reflected through the use of specific concepts of composition and geometries that give unity and structure to the entire work. The objective of my work is to open an inner dialogue and a deep reflection on the importance of recognizing ourselves as individuals and that our identity should not be lost or transgressed under any human condition.

"In painting I build urban fabrics where colors and textures simulate sounds, energies and vibrations. It is a constant reflection of the links we create with places throughout our lives.

In sculpture I create automatisms as that way of showing how the routine and acceleration in which we live depersonalize us over time. The lack of awareness of our present has made us indifferent to the environment in which we live and of which we are a part as individuals.

Both languages create a permanent synesthetic effect that opens the possibility to create a very intimate connection but at the same time so open that it can be transmitted to all our senses." - Oliver Martínez
