"My work is about creating stories that could be read in different layers. In a personal level my work is an introspection of how I saw the world during my childhood, and I use that resulting image to go to my actual social environment.
As for my landscapes and characters, they´re a childhood imaginary that stayed in my brain interacting with my real memories. There, the storms makes the world stop for a moment, and then I let everything flow away.
I work mostly with oil paints, because it allows me to go slow or fast, thin or thick, translucent or flat, as my idea for the painting evolves.
My goal is to create an image as a full movie.” – Archie Gomez
